Dr. Rita (Faridah) Ali to be honored with the Humanitarian Award

April 16, 2024 – California – Time for Change Foundation’s (TFCF) 22nd Annual Awards Gala will honor outstanding individuals and organizations that go above and beyond for our communities and continue to make a difference in the lives of others.

Dr. Rita Ali, a multifaceted powerhouse, and the driving force behind the organization We 2 Matter, has emerged as a beacon of hope and resilience for women impacted by incarceration. With a background that spans entrepreneurship, public service, and media, Dr. Ali’s story is one of transformation and unwavering dedication to making a difference.

As the founder of We 2 Matter, Dr. Ali brings a wealth of experience to the table. With a doctorate in Business Administration and certifications as a CFI Life Coach, her expertise is matched only by her passion for empowering others. But Dr. Ali’s journey to advocacy was not without its trials.

“Despite the injustices I’ve faced, I refuse to let my past define me,” says Dr. Ali. “Through We 2 Matter, I am committed to helping women reclaim their lives and find their place in society once again.”

Determined to turn her adversity into advocacy, Dr. Ali founded We 2 Matter, driven by a mission to provide support and resources to women navigating the complexities of reintegration. Drawing upon her network of relationships with law enforcement, corporate executives, religious leaders, and celebrities, Dr. Ali is rallying support for her cause.

“With a firm belief in the inherent worth and potential of every individual, Dr. Ali’s vision is one of empowerment, resilience, and second chances. By offering a lifeline to those who have paid their debt to society, she is paving the way for a brighter future for all,” says Mrs. Carter-Tillman, Founder and Ambassador at the Time for Change Foundation.
