Cheryl Chesnut is the Vice President of Operations for the Black and Brown Opportunities Center for Profit (BBOP), and is a dynamic leader with extensive experience across multiple sectors, including local government, transportation, energy, healthcare, and workforce development. She has presented to various audiences effectively conveying complex ideas and strategies to diverse audiences. She has consistently demonstrated her ability to drive organizational change and lead strategic initiatives.
She has experience working with cross sector partners such as educational institutions, chambers of commerce, community- based-organizations and the private sector to develop impactful programs that support the local community.
Cheryl has had experience working in contract administration, project management, grant management, has been a small business owner, and community collaboration.
She has spearheaded major initiatives to make an impact with the community including most recently co-leading efforts on the creation of a workforce education & training program for the energy efficiency sector.
Cheryl holds a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) from California Baptist University, a Master of Science in Energy Management (M.S.) from Oklahoma City University and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Administration E.d.D.) from California Baptist University. Cheryl has a commitment and passion to create meaningful change that bridges industry needs with economic and workforce development to build stronger and empower emerging organizations.
