Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR)

Jaûne Odombrown is a visionary entrepreneur and leader specializing in capacity building, venture development, and ecosystem building. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Navy Commendation Medal recipient,
Jaûne holds bachelor’s degrees in Entertainment Business and Organizational Management, as well as a master’s in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. He is also certified as a venture capitalist by VC Lab and a global accelerator manager by 500 Global.

He previously served as Entrepreneur in Residence and Director of Blackstone LaunchPad at UC Irvine, where he led the development of the UCI ANTrepreneur Center—the university’s central hub for
entrepreneurship and venture development focused on both student founders and university research commercialization. From 2019 to 2023, his leadership helped support over 10% of the campus population annually and contributed to the successful spinout of more
than 25 companies across various stages of entrepreneurship.

Currently, Jaûne serves as Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) at the BBOP Center, where he brings his signature methodologies and systems-thinking approach to help design inclusive, scalable pathways
for emerging founders—particularly those from underestimated communities. In this role, he supports BBOP’s mission to advance economic development through entrepreneurship, innovation, and community-centered capacity building.
