Time for Change Foundation (TFCF) has been selected by the Bezos Day 1 Families Fund to receive a $1.25 million grant to help provide much-needed services in the Bay area and Inland Empire.
Just as soon as the courts opened up from COVID 19, the first order of business was terminating the parental rights of women and pushing kidsinto a foster care system that spits them out at 18, abused, molested andpackaged for prison 90% of the time.
Since I came to Time for Change Foundation (TFCF) in March 2019,they have guided me through the good times and the bad times. I never thought that the bad times would get this bad. I came here pregnant with 18-month-old twins in the child welfare system due to my drug habit.
“My name is Ilka Rosales. I was released from prison onJune 4, 2019 after serving 25 years for a crime I committed in 1993. My parents worked a lot to provide for my younger siblings and I, so with learning that quiet behaviorand not always having and not always having my parents to talk to I became a stuffer and developed abandonment issues.
Keisha decided she wanted to be a nurse and work to give back to the community. While she had lost precious time not being focused, she knew that she wanted to work in the medical field, helping others.
Precious Thomas is a prime example that it is never too late to rebuild your life story. In 2015, Precious was faced with a spiral of events that left her feeling as though she had hit rock bottom.
By the age of 9 years old Joanna was already well acquainted with alcoholism, domestic violence, rejection and abuse. These were the key ingredients that contributed to the MISSION many years to follow where drug abuse and violent relationships ran rampant in her life.
Despite coming from a life of childhood abuse and drug addiction, Rosemary has defied the odds. Growing up in a family of six, Rosemary witnessed abuse first hand at a very early age when her father was taken to jail for beating and raping her oldests sister.
