Aisha Esa came to Time For Change Foundation (TFCF) as Housing and Re-Entry Navigator in 2020 after graduating TFCF’s Brighter Futures emergency shelter in Northern California. Coming from a background of strong and empowered women, Aisha quickly learned the skills and needed and how to use her voice to empower disenfranchised communities. Starting as a client in Brighter Futures she has overcome a life of homelessness, addiction, regained custody of her daughter and has successfully reached self-sufficiency. Today Aisha channels her own experiences and passion towards helping other women in the community break the cycle of addiction and to reach their full potential. Aisha has worked in the healthcare industry as a Certified Nurse Assistant and is currently attending Unitek College to gain her License as a Vocational Nurse. As TFCF’s Housing and Re-Entry Navigator, she works with formerly incarcerated individuals to ensure they have the resources and support needed to eliminate homelessness and maintain self-sufficiency.
