System Navigator / Peer Mentor

Amber joined the Time for Change Foundation team in 2020 as a Peer Mentor after graduating our Positive Futures Program. She has since taken on the role of System Navigator where she provides reentry services and ensures our formerly incarcerated clients receive necessary services to become successful when returning home from incarceration. After overcoming years of addiction, incarceration, and homelessness, Amber successfully reached self-sufficiency and is now continuing her education in the field of social service and addiction studies. Amber has a passion for helping others overcome many of the same obstacles that once stood in her way. Her moto is, “If I can do it, you can do it!” Amber has reframed her past as one of her greatest assets, allowing her to utilize her lived experiences as a means to connect with, and relate to the population she works with today.
