I have been a licensed psychologist in California since 1999. I have worked for ten years as a psychologist in San Bernardino County, Department of Mental Health, which involved working with children, teenagers, and families in a community mental health setting. I am currently in private practice seeing clients. I have also taught psychology courses in different academic settings like Loma Linda University, Alliant International University, Argosy University, University of California, Riverside Extension, and Pasadena City College for the past 11 eleven years. My areas of specialty are multicultural and community psychology and integration of spirituality/ religion and psychology. I am also a strong advocate for social change and social justice and have volunteered in different organizations to help homeless children and their families. I am very honored to be Board member of Time For Change Foundation (TFCF) as my values are very consistent with TFCF’s values of advocating, empowering, and providing services for women coming out of incarceration. I am very impressed with TFCF providing life-changing opportunities, such as housing programs, treatment programs, and job development to women, which changes the trajectory of their lives and facilitates women to break the cycles of poverty, violence, substance use, and trauma.
