BBOP Center Program Coordinator

Maria Arias is the Program Coordinator of the Black & Brown Opportunities for Profit (BBOP) Center. In this role, she assists and supports the Director of Operations with the development and operations of the BBOP Center, and with the oversight of the Business Academy. Maria has extensive experience in customer service, program management, event planning, and public relations. Her experience derives from her accumulated job experience and education.

She has worked for public and private organizations such as Pomona Unified School District, Mt. San Antonio College, H&R Block, and most recently the California State Senate where she was able to harness her skills as a professional. Moreover, Maria has earned an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences degree, with an emphasis in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Mount San Antonio College.

Additionally, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology from California State Polytechnic University Pomona where she is also currently working on a Master of Public Administration degree. In her spare time, Maria loves to spend time with her family, friends, and reading the occasional romance novel. She recognizes that she could not have come this far without the ardent and unwavering support of her family.
